The Detroit Diamondstrikes Football Club was built with purpose.

 

Rooted in the grit, resilience, and pride of Detroit, the Diamondstrikes are more than a women’s tackle football team, we are a movement dedicated to expanding opportunities for women and girls in the game of football. We exist to create space for athletes to compete at a high level, to lead with confidence, and to grow both on and off the field.

 

Our name reflects who we are. Like diamonds, we are forged under pressure, strong, unbreakable, and resilient. And when we take the field, we strike with precision, power, and purpose.

 

As a member of the American Women's Football League (AWFL), kicking off in the spring of 2027,  the Detroit Diamondstrikes are committed to building a premier organization grounded in discipline, accountability, and excellence. From our coaching staff to our players and leadership team, we are setting a new standard for what women’s football can look like in our city and beyond.

 

But our impact goes beyond the game.

 

We are deeply committed to our community, creating pathways for young girls and women to see themselves in football, to develop leadership skills, and to be part of something bigger than themselves. Through camps, clinics, and community engagement, we are building the next generation of athletes and leaders.
